The goal of this image was to try and create a nice bokeh effect (the starry out of focus highlights). I think it turned out pretty nicely. It was made entirely using Maxwell Studio and then obviously rendered with Maxwell. The Buddha statues are a 3D scanned object created by Stanford University's computer graphics lab.
